It can also offer added security for items such as tickets or gift vouchers, clear foils can be used as a cost effective alternative giving a UV varnish feel, products can be embossed to add yet further visual and tactile benefits – the creative opportunities are simply vast!
This technique, like so many others, takes years to perfect and requires both skill and outstanding equipment. During the process, we make a metal die tool and use a converted Heidelburg press to apply heat to the die and transfer the metallic foil to the substrate. Some of the equipment that we use is over fifty years old but still without doubt among the best and a sign of true craftsmanship.
